Masskara, Festival of Smiles (because the city of Bacolod in the Philippines where it is held is also known as the City of Smiles. MassKara comes from two words: Mass, which means “many, or multitude,” and Kara, a Spanish word for “face,” and so MassKara is a mass of smiling faces.
